Congratulations to these two ACC standouts: Notre Dame graduate guard Olivia Miles was named the recipient of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s 2024-25 Kay Yow Award for women’s basketball, while Stanford senior forward/center Maxime Raynaud was chosen as the recipient of the ACC’s 2024-25 Skip Prosser Award for men’s basketball.
- The ACC Women’s Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year award honors the legendary Kay Yow, who won 737 games as a head coach and led NC State to four ACC Tournament titles and the 1988 U.S. Olympic gold medal. Yow, who passed away in January 2009, is remembered for her leadership and courageous battle against breast cancer.
- The Skip Prosser Award, presented annually to the top scholar-athlete in ACC men’s basketball, is named in memory of Wake Forest coach George “Skip” Prosser, who passed away in 2007. Prosser, with a 291-146 career record, was known for his commitment to academics, as every senior he coached graduated and nine players earned All-ACC Academic honors during his tenure.

Hailing from Phillipsburg, New Jersey, Olivia Miles has locked her name in the women’s vault of collegiate basketball with an impressive 2025 season, earning her third First-Team All-ACC selection. Averaging 16.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game, she has been one of the driving forces behind the Fighting Irish’s top-10 national ranking and their shared ACC regular-season championship. Her individual accolades are equally remarkable, as she has earned spots on numerous prestigious lists, including the Naismith Player of the Year Midseason Team, the USBWA Drysdale National Player of the Year Midseason Top 50, and the Wooden Award Late Midseason Top 20.
Miles has also made history, becoming the only active NCAA player with 25+ double-doubles and five or more triple-doubles, tying an ACC record with six career triple-doubles. In the Virginia game, she became just the third player in Notre Dame history to reach 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 500 assists, joining the ranks of Skylar Diggins and Lindsay Allen.
Off the court, Miles completed her undergraduate degree in political science with a minor in business economics in 2024 and is now pursuing a master’s degree in nonprofit administration. She has also been recognized for her academic excellence, earning a spot on the All-ACC Academic Team for two years and the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

Maxime Raynaud, a standout from Paris, France, has been instrumental in leading Stanford to its most victories since the 2019-20 season, averaging 20.2 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. He is tied for the national lead with 21 double-doubles, setting a school record, and is a force both offensively and on the boards, ranking second in the ACC in scoring and leading in rebounding.
Raynaud is the fifth player in Stanford history to surpass 1,400 career points and 900 rebounds. His stellar performances have earned him a spot on several prestigious lists, including the Naismith Trophy Player of the Year Midseason Team, the Wooden Award Late Midseason Top 20, and the USBWA Oscar Robertson Trophy Watch List. Raynaud’s commitment to both basketball and academics is evident, as he majors in computer science and mathematics, a notoriously challenging combination.
Beyond his studies, Raynaud has been deeply involved in the community, speaking at Stanford’s ‘Democracy Day’ to promote civil engagement and participating in initiatives such as Team IMPACT, where the men’s basketball program has adopted an 11-year-old cancer survivor.
