Crosby made the announcement Tuesday on The Mason Crosby Show on 105.7 The Fan in Milwaukee, sharing that the decision had been a long time coming. “I’ve been putting off retirement for two years,” he said, reflecting on the final stretch of his illustrious career. Crosby, who was a sixth-round draft pick by the Packers in 2007, played the majority of his career in Green Bay, leaving the team as its all-time leader in points scored and field goals made.
At 40 years old, Crosby leaves behind an incredible legacy of consistency and clutch performances. Over the course of 261 NFL games—258 of which came with the Packers—Crosby became an iconic figure in Green Bay.
