Big News: Michael Jordan’s Son Marcus Arrested in Maitland for Drug Possession and Resisting

MAITLAND, Fla. — Marcus Jordan, the 34-year-old son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, was arrested early Tuesday morning after his car was found stuck on railroad tracks in the Orlando suburb of Maitland, just moments before a commuter train was set to pass.

Police discovered Jordan’s Lamborghini SUV lodged on the tracks around 1:14 a.m. Officers reported that the vehicle’s tires were buried in dirt and gravel, likely caused by reckless spinning, which left the car unable to move. Authorities noted that a train was only about 10 minutes away from the location when they arrived.

According to the arrest report, Jordan had recently fled a traffic stop in a neighboring county before the encounter. When police approached, they observed signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and visible confusion. After asking him to exit the vehicle, officers found a bag of cocaine in Jordan’s pants, which tested positive for the drug.

Jordan was taken into custody and charged with possession of cocaine and resisting an officer without violence, both misdemeanors. He was booked at 6:03 a.m. and released on $4,000 bond just a few hours later.

A former basketball player at the University of Central Florida, Jordan declined to make any public comments upon his release from jail. His arrest has attracted considerable attention due to his connection to his famous father, Michael Jordan.
