The NBA trade deadline is fast approaching. And with it, a sheer adrenaline rush has kicked in. Safe to say things with look different in SAC TOWN and a few other places! A blockbuster multi-team trade is now official, with major implications for certain NBA squads. The San Antonio Spurs have acquired All-Star guard De’Aaron Fox from the Sacramento Kings. In exchange, the Kings bring in Zach LaVine, adding a dynamic scorer to their backcourt as they continue their push for contention.

Along with LaVine, Sacramento receives Sidy Cissoko and multiple draft assets: a 2025 first-round pick via the Hornets, a 2027 first-round pick via the Spurs, a 2031 first-round pick via the Timberwolves, a 2025 second-round pick via the Bulls, a 2028 second-round pick via the Nuggets, and a 2028 second-round pick that was originally sent to the Bulls in the DeMar DeRozan trade.
The Chicago Bulls land Zach Collins, Tre Jones, Kevin Huerter, and a 2025 first-round pick (via the Bulls, which was previously sent to the Spurs as part of the DeRozan trade).
Fox, currently in the fourth year of a five-year, $163 million rookie extension, will be entering the final year of his contract worth $37.1 million next season and will be a free agent in 2026.
