We remember when Castellanos was a four-year starting quarterback at Ware County, where he threw for 7,710 career yards and ran for 3,681 more. As a senior, he passed for 2,613 yards and 25 touchdowns while rushing for 968 yards and 13 touchdowns. He earned a spot on the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Super 11 team and was named 5A All-State as a junior. Castellanos led his team to a 10-win season in 2020, throwing for a career-best 2,881 yards and 23 touchdowns while adding 939 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns. He was also a standout cornerback, showcasing his versatility and leadership on both sides of the ball.
He went on to play his freshman year at Central Florida before moving on to Boston College where he was an absolute dynamo on the field. He totaled 2,248 passing yards and 1,113 rushing yards, third most in the ACC, to become the first 2,000-yard passer, 1,000-yard rusher in BC history and just the fifth in the ACC since 1996.
