At Packed House Sports, our hearts are heavy with sorrow as we confront the grim reality of yet another senseless act of gun violence. The tragic events at Apalachee High School in Winder, GA (Barrow County), where a 14-year-old student named Colt Gray took the lives of two classmates and two teachers, injuring approximately 30, serve as a stark reminder of the pressing need for change. This violence, now alarmingly frequent in our schools and communities, not only devastates families but also undermines the very fabric of our society.
A beloved coach Rick Aspinwall, a 39-year-old husband and father of two young daughters, taught math at Apalachee High School, where he was also the football team’s defensive coordinator. He has been confirmed among the 4 victims killed.

We unequivocally condemn this horrific act and stand in solidarity with the victims, their families, and the entire Winder community. The fear and trauma experienced by students and parents alike are unacceptable and demand urgent action.
It is time for meaningful reform and a collective effort to end the cycle of violence that continues to plague our nation. At Packed House Sports, we advocate for safer environments for our children, where they can thrive without the looming threat of violence. Our commitment is to raise awareness, support preventive measures, and work towards a future where tragedies like this are no longer part of our reality.
Let us honor the lives lost by coming together to forge a path toward peace and security for all. Please keep our great state and law enforcement in your thoughts, and we will do the same for yours.
