Amazing Women’s Fencing Ends With USA Touching Gold!

Gold! The U.S. women’s fencing team made history at the Paris 2024 Olympics by winning the first-ever Olympic gold medal in the women’s team foil event. The team, featuring standout performances from Lee Kiefer and Lauren Scruggs, triumphed over Italy with a score of 45-39 in a match that lasted 66 minutes, held at the Grand Palais in Paris.

This victory marks a significant achievement for Team USA, as it is their first gold in women’s team foil since the event was introduced. Kiefer and Scruggs, who also excelled in individual competitions winning Gold and Silver, have contributed to elevating the profile of women’s fencing in the United States
